A heartfelt principle
Yet when the foul
poison
Of the Nazi doctrines
Leached into the world
An internal struggle
began
Was the cause to
defeat fascism
Greater than pacifist
principles
Many took the position
War was the lesser of
two evils
But not a decision
taken lightly
