THE HAWKER HARTEBEEST

The Hawker Hartebeest was a British

Two-seater biplane light bomber

And a variant The Hawker Audax

Used widely across South Africa

In a variety of roles in the region

Throughout the 1930s

And even though it was obsolete

By the start of the World War 2

They continued in service

Seeing action in East Africa

And also in occupied Abyssinia
