THE VICKERS VENOM

 

The Vickers Type 279 Venom was a British

Low-wing monoplane, single-seat, single-engine,

Fighter aircraft armed with an eight-gun array

Based on the Type 151 Jockey fighter

Designed and built during the inter-war period

Envisaged by the Air Ministry for use in the tropics

But was ultimately rejected due to the Aquila engine
